SWINDON FOOD BANK
Crates of food are still being collected, on a regular basis from St. Michael’s Church Hall for the Swindon Food Bank. The organisers of the food bank tell us they are still short of sugar, tinned fruit and tined fish so if you are able to help please drop off at the church hall or the Co-op. Also St. Michael’s Church has now become a Food Bank Hub so anyone with a voucher or referral notice can collect their supplies direct from Lyneham instead of having to travel out of the village to Royal Wootton Bassett or Calne. If anyone would like to find out more information then search www.swindonfoodcollective.org
LYNEHAM MEMORIAL GARDEN
OPEN FOR ALL TO VISIT
I don’t know if you have all seen the newly renovated Lyneham Memorial Garden (behind the Lyneham Library) which can be accessed easily through the Church Hall small gateway. There are two benches and it is a lovely place to sit and reflect. Also ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH YARD is looking good and, like the Memorial Garden, is open to anyone who would like to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that both open spaces offer.
My daughter is involved in Fundraising for her local church in Heddington (only 15/20 minutes’ drive from Lyneham) and I thought some of you may be interested in their
